Patience, my fellow butterflies..

Link
It took me bloody 10 months to feel like I'm back to the good ol' me. Sorts of.*
10 months of taking thyroid blocking medication, and later on synthetic thyroid hormones. And that was when my symptoms weren't as severe as those of other thyroid patients. Or at least, that's what I try to believe. Or maybe I'm just not as much of a complainer compared to other patients.

YES! This!

Thank you, pediatrician who put this up, and thank you, Redditor who posted it!

This is a rant post, specifically aimed at anti-vaxxers. Do not read if you don't like pro-vaxxers, because I am one. If you keep reading this, you might get your feelings hurt (not like I'd particularly care about crushing your anti-vaxx ideas, but I like to pretend I'm nice)

Holidays are over..

AAAH!
On a good note, I'm starting with Immunology as an elective. So far, I still like it.

Hep B: Part 2

Did I already tell you guys about Hep B immunization being done in 3(!) parts?
So today I was subjected to a good skewering with needles and stiff muscles afterwards. I also got a cute stickie again.

I was also supposed to be subjected to a mantoux test for tuberculosis, but seeing as my parents were born in Asia, they decided to go with something else. (This was apparently because I've had a BCG vaccination in the past. The BCG apparently messes up the results of the mantoux screening.)

The Immune System (Book)

The Immune System
For those of you who don't know yet, I'm a sucker for immunology and infectious diseases. Several weeks ago, the Dutch Railways (also called NS) gave me a fake heart attack, but I did manage to pass my Immunology test with 8.7 out of 10 pts.
Thanks to this book. So yeah, it's a great book.
